01 Delete it in the app #

This is the fastest way, and it takes about a minute:

  1. Open Scrimfield and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Delete Account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm.
  4. Confirm it's you: enter your password if you signed up with email. If you signed in with Google, you'll be asked to pick your Google account again to confirm it's you.

Deletion starts straight away.

02 Can't open the app? #

If you've uninstalled Scrimfield, lost your phone, or can't sign in, you can ask us to delete the account instead. Email hello@scrimfield.com from the address on the account (for Google sign-in, that's your Google email) with the subject Delete my Scrimfield account, and include your username if you remember it.

We only act on requests that come from the account's own email, because otherwise anyone could delete someone else's account. If you can't use that address any more, write to us anyway and tell us what you can prove, such as your username, your main sport and roughly when you joined, and we'll sort it out with you.

Parents and guardians of a 13–17 account holder can make the same request at the same address, or withdraw consent, which closes the account.

03 What gets deleted #

  • Your profile: name, username, bio, preferred position, profile photo, date of birth and saved home location.
  • Your login (the Firebase Authentication account) and any push-notification tokens tied to your devices.
  • Every direct-message thread you're part of, and your friend connections.
  • Reviews and venue comments you wrote, and any venues you posted along with their photos.
  • Reviews other players wrote about you.
  • Your XP, level, quests and stats.
  • Your place in every attendance record, and your spot in your guild. Live location sharing ends immediately.

04 What we keep, and why #

  • Abuse reports you filed. Kept as a safety record so we can still act on the person you reported. They are not tied to your profile once it's gone.
  • Aggregated statistics produced before you deleted, such as how many people in a city play a sport. They never contained your name and can't be traced back to you.
  • Anything the law requires us to keep. For example, a parental-consent record for a 13–17 account, for as long as the law says.

Match details, match chat and attendance-scan locations are deleted automatically about a day after the match, whether or not you delete your account.

05 How long it takes #

Deletion starts as soon as you confirm. Some linked records clear in the background, so give it a little while to fully finish. Requests sent by email get a reply from us within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

06 Delete only some of your data #

You don't have to delete everything. From Settings you can replace your profile photo, edit your bio and position, switch off live location sharing, hide yourself from Players Near You, and turn off Analytics and push notifications. For anything you can't change there, email hello@scrimfield.com and say what you'd like removed.
